Finance Committee

The Finance Committee meets on average four times a year.

The purpose of the Finance Committee is to monitor all Welwyn Parish Council’s income, expenditure and investments, recommend the annual budget and parish precept to Full Council for agreement, monitor the internal and external auditing of the Council and insurance matters in accordance with legislation, guidance and the Council’s Financial Regulations and Standing Orders.

The Committee does not have executive powers and reports to Full Council.

The day to day responsibility for finances fall to the Clerk as the Responsible Financial Officer for the Council.
